“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;  and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:  for the former things are passed away.  And  he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  And he said unto me, Write:  for these words are true and faithful.”  Revelation 21:2.3.

Dear Friend, these words are true.   God really is going to recreate the earth into a garden of unsurpassing beauty.   He said,“I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.   He that overcometh shall inherit all things;  and I will be his God, and he shall be my son and my daughter.”  Revelation 21:6.6.

The question is --- Will I be there?

Will you?

The choice is ours, but what an alternative --- the new earth or ashes!

My prayer is that you will choose Jesus and determine in your life to live for Him.

“Be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.   And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.”  Isaiah 65:18.19.

The Jerusalem mentioned in the verse is firstly the Jerusalem in Israel. These verses would have been fulfilled to the Jewish nation if they had accepted Jesus as the Messiah.   However, as they rejected Jesus, its second application will be fulfilled to those who do accept Him, and Jerusalem will be the New Jerusalem in the new earth.

"And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads:  they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Isaiah 35:10.

It will be worth waiting for to see this amazing new earth.

“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;  and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;  and a little child shall lead them.  And the cow and the bear shall feed;  their young ones shall lie down together:  and the lion shall eat straw like the ox…. They shall not hurt  nor destroy in all my holy mountain:  for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
Isaiah 11:6.7.9.

“The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock… They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.”
Isaiah 65:25.

As I mentioned in the Christmas page, if you do not believe in pictures of Jesus, please just read the writing and do not ignore the message.  Let everyone be convicted in their own mind.

As you have already seen, the return of Christ takes God's people from the broken-down earth to the New Jerusalem, the home of God the Father, Jesus and all the angels.  It will be beyond our imagination to be in the holy city, and in fact the Bible says,

"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."  1 Corinthians 2:9.

What a wonderful thought.

Some time after the 1000 years and the cleansing of the earth by fire, God will recreate the earth.   "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered,  nor come into mind."   Isaiah 65:17.    The new heavens will be the atmospheric heavens that surround the earth, not the starry heavens.

God will begin by covering the earth with beautiful green grass, just as He did in the first creation.   "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass..."  Genesis 1:11.    Then He will speak and magnificent trees with come forth -- oak trees, sequoia redwoods, pines, maples -- oh so many.   We have no idea, but imagine a magnificent tree growing up to maturity so quickly.  And there will be fruit trees,"the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself...."  Genesis 1:11.

Not only will the earth be covered with soft grass and magnificent trees, there will be beautiful flowers everywhere.   Oh, what a wonderful perfume!

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them;  and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.  It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing:  the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.”  Isaiah 35:1.2.

Looking through the transparent walls of the holy city or on the top of the great jasper wall, the redeemed will be able to see a vast amount of the earth, and everywhere they look, beauty will meet their eyes.   What a thrill it will be.   There will be oooohs and aaaahs from every lip.

When the work is finished, God and His Son will invite the redeemed to pass out through the gates of the city to their beautiful new home.   Nothing will remind them of the old earth; their minds will be so enraptured with the glory of the present.

"The meek shall inherit the earth;  and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."   Psalm 37:11.   "The meek shall inherit the earth."  Matthew 5:5.

And what a wonder it will be.   No artist can adequately paint the new earth, and as beautiful as they may portray it, the reality will far surpass the most lofty imagination.
