This is an unusual flower that grows only on the female tree. Even that is unusual. It is hard to find a female tree.
This is not so rare, but it is an unusual type of flower. It is at my brother's house. It is pretty for a cactus-type flower.

I know the one below is an iris, but it is so beautiful, I had to include it. The Master Designer is so wonderful.

This is an unusual flower. I almost missed in Grand Rapids gardens. There are different rooms for displays of hot countries and this creeper was over the doorway as you walk in. I just saw the creeper when I walked in, but on my way out I happened to glance up. I only took this picture, and am sorry I did not take more.
When I was in San Antonio Texas at the Botanical Gardens, the gardener told me to look at a particular creeper. He told me it had just flowered and that the flower is only out one day. Then he described it to me, and it was this flower. Wow! I could have missed this one altogether.
You don't see swan trees as often as you used to. The monarch butterfly will go to this tree when it is passing this way on its migration. The picture below shows why it is called a swan tree.
This is an unusual flower. It looks nice in a garden, but it doesn't have a very nice perfume -- it is a strong odour!
It is the flower in the middle that is unusual, very unusual. Unfortunately, the picture is a little blurred.
This was part of a bouquet of flowers by a friend of my father, brought to his funeral. I do not know who brought it or anything about the flower, but it is very unusual. I would love to see some more of them.
This hydrange is not that unusual, but it is still unusual that the middle buds don't bloom.
This is a very unusual petunia. It was at a nursery in Michigan. This one was priced at $40 a plant.
